You've assigned rules to a product, but checkout still shows every payment gateway. Here are the most common reasons and how to fix them.
This is the single most common cause. Your caching plugin or CDN is serving a previous version of the checkout page before the rule was active.
Make sure you clicked Update (or Publish for a new product) after selecting the gateways in the Payment Gateways panel. If you navigated away without saving, the rule was not stored.
Some payment gateway plugins, checkout customizers, or WooCommerce extensions hook into the woocommerce_available_payment_gateways filter and add their own logic. This can override or bypass the rules set by Payment Gateway Per Product.
Double-check that the product in your test cart is the same product you set the rule on. It's easy to have multiple similar products and edit the wrong one.
If you're on the free version and set a category or tag rule, those rules are silently ignored — they're Premium-only features. Only product-level rules are active in the free version. Upgrade to Premium to enable category and tag rules.
