Uninstalling and Data Removal

What happens to your data when you uninstall Dreamfox Client Edit Mode, and how to remove everything.

Uninstalling and Data Removal

What happens to your data when you uninstall Dreamfox Client Edit Mode, and how to remove everything.

Uninstalling and Data Removal

What happens by default

Uninstalling Dreamfox Client Edit Mode does not delete your settings, permissions or activity log by default. That way, reinstalling the plugin later brings your configuration back.

The Client Editor role is always removed on uninstall.

Removing all plugin data

If you want a completely clean removal, enable the data-removal option before you uninstall:

  1. Go to Client Edit → Settings.
  2. Open the Advanced section.
  3. Enable Delete all plugin data when the plugin is uninstalled.
  4. Save your settings.
  5. Go to Plugins, deactivate the plugin and click Delete.

Before you uninstall

  • Users with the Client Editor role lose their role when the plugin is removed. Decide which role they should have afterwards.
  • Pages are not changed by uninstalling. Content that clients edited stays as saved.
