Setting a Minimum Lead Time

The minimum lead time prevents customers from booking a delivery too soon — giving you enough time to prepare and dispatch orders.

How It Works

Go to WooCommerce > Delivery Date and find the Minimum Delivery Days field. The number you enter is added to today's date to calculate the first available delivery date shown in the calendar.

Examples:

  • Set to 0 → customers can pick today (subject to timeslot availability)
  • Set to 1 → earliest available date is tomorrow
  • Set to 3 → customers must book at least 3 days ahead

Counting Calendar Days vs. Working Days

By default (free version), the plugin counts all days including weekends. So if today is Friday and your lead time is 1 day, Saturday would be selectable.

If your business only operates Monday to Friday and you want the lead time to skip weekends, this requires the Premium version. With Premium, enabling the Working Days Only option means the lead time counts only Mon–Fri, so a 1-day lead time set on Friday would show Monday as the earliest date.

Setting a Maximum Days in Advance

Premium also lets you set a Maximum Days in Advance so customers can't book too far into the future. This is useful for businesses that don't want to commit to delivery slots more than a few weeks out. Set this in the same settings area — leave it blank if you don't want a far limit.

Testing Your Lead Time

After saving, open your checkout with a qualifying product in the cart. Click the date picker and confirm the earliest selectable date matches what you configured.
