How to Block Holiday and Unavailable Dates

Use blackout dates in the Premium version to prevent customers from booking on holidays or closure days.

Blocking Dates Customers Cannot Book

If your business is closed on certain dates — public holidays, annual leave, or planned shutdowns — you can block those dates so they don't appear as available in the checkout calendar.

This feature requires the Premium version. The free version does not support blackout or holiday dates.

How to Add Blocked Dates

  1. Go to WooCommerce > Delivery Date in your WordPress admin.
  2. Scroll to the Holiday / Blackout Dates section.
  3. Click on the date field and select the date you want to block.
  4. Click Add Date (or the equivalent save action in the panel).
  5. Repeat for each date you want to block.
  6. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.

Blocked dates will appear greyed out and unselectable in the customer-facing checkout calendar.

Tips

  • Add your holiday closures at the start of the year so customers always see accurate availability.
  • If you block a date that already has orders booked, existing orders are not affected — only new bookings from that point forward will be blocked.
  • There's no limit on how many dates you can block.

Blocking Specific Weekdays

If you never deliver on a particular day of the week (for example, no Sunday or Monday deliveries), use the Disable Specific Weekdays setting instead of adding individual blackout dates. This also requires Premium and saves you from having to add every single occurrence of that weekday manually. You can find this setting in the same WooCommerce > Delivery Date settings area.

How to Set Minimum Lead Time for Deliveries

Control the earliest date customers can book by setting minimum delivery days in the plugin settings.

How to Restrict Delivery Scheduling to Specific Product Categories

Make the delivery date picker appear only when products from selected categories are in the cart.
