Not every product in your store may need delivery scheduling. If you sell a mix of items — some that require a scheduled delivery and some that don't (like digital downloads or standard-shipped goods) — category-based rules let you control exactly when the date picker shows up.
The delivery date picker only appears at checkout if the customer's cart contains at least one product from a selected category. If the cart only has products from unselected categories, the picker stays hidden.
That's it. The setting applies immediately — no page cache to clear on the plugin side, though if you use a caching plugin, clearing its cache after saving is a good idea.
