WooCommerce introduced High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS) as an alternative storage engine for orders, using dedicated custom database tables instead of WordPress post meta. This can significantly improve performance on high-volume stores.
Delivery Date & Timeslot for WooCommerce is fully compatible with HPOS. You can enable HPOS in WooCommerce without breaking delivery date or timeslot functionality.
If you haven't already enabled HPOS and want to, go to WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > Features and enable High-Performance Order Storage. WooCommerce will offer a migration tool to move existing orders to the new tables.
Before enabling HPOS on a live store, confirm that all your other WooCommerce plugins also declare HPOS compatibility — a conflict with another plugin could cause order data issues.
If you're on an older WooCommerce version or have other plugins that aren't HPOS-ready, you can keep WooCommerce in legacy (post meta) mode — the delivery date plugin works correctly in that mode too.
