Language Support

Delivery Date & Timeslot for WooCommerce ships with translations for Dutch (nl_NL), English (en_US), and German (de_DE). The plugin is also fully translation-ready via a .pot file if you need another language.

How Language Is Applied

The plugin follows your WordPress site's language setting. To change the language:

  1. Go to Settings > General in your WordPress admin.
  2. Find the Site Language dropdown and select your desired language (Dutch, English, or German).
  3. Click Save Changes.
  4. WordPress will download the necessary translation files, and the plugin's frontend (checkout) and admin labels will update to match.

WPML Compatibility

If you run a multilingual store using WPML, the Premium version of the plugin includes WPML compatibility. This allows the delivery date field label, description, and other plugin text to be translated per language in your WPML setup.

Adding a Custom or Missing Translation

If you need a language that isn't included, you can create a translation using a tool like Loco Translate (a free WordPress plugin):

  1. Install and activate Loco Translate.
  2. Go to Loco Translate > Plugins and find Delivery Date & Timeslot for WooCommerce.
  3. Click New Language, select your target language, and use the editor to translate each string.
  4. Save — your translation will be used at checkout and in the admin.

You can also use the .pot file included with the plugin as a starting point for professional translation tools like Poedit.

Customising Existing Translations

If you want to change specific strings — for example, adjusting the checkout label text — and you're on the free version, Loco Translate is the easiest approach. Premium users can use the built-in Custom Label setting under WooCommerce > Delivery Date instead.
