Setting a Storewide Discount for a Role

A global role rule applies to every product in your shop for customers with that role. It is the quickest way to give wholesale buyers a lower price.

Steps

1. Go to WooCommerce → Role Based Pricing.
2. Open the Role Rules tab.
3. Choose the role you want to set a rule for, for example your wholesale role. Use Guest for visitors who are not logged in.
4. Choose the adjustment: a percentage or fixed discount, or a percentage or fixed markup.
5. Enter the value and save.

Sale prices

On the Display tab you decide whether role discounts apply on top of the sale price or on the regular price. Check this setting if a product shows a price you did not expect.

Good to know

• A more specific rule, such as a price on a single product, overrides the global rule. See How Role Pricing Rules Work.
• Test with a customer account that has the role, in a private browser window.
