How Slot Capacity and Auto-Hiding Works

Understand how the plugin tracks orders per timeslot and automatically hides fully booked slots.

How Slot Capacity and Auto-Hiding Works

Understand how the plugin tracks orders per timeslot and automatically hides fully booked slots.

How Slot Capacity Works

When you set a Max Orders Per Slot value, the plugin tracks how many orders have been placed for each date-and-timeslot combination. Once the count reaches your limit, that slot is removed from the dropdown on the checkout page — customers simply never see it as an option.

What Counts as a Booking

An order counts against a slot's capacity as soon as it is placed, regardless of payment status. So a pending order and a completed order both consume capacity equally.

Real-Time Hiding

Slot availability is checked at the moment the customer loads or interacts with the checkout page. If two customers are checking out simultaneously and the last remaining spot in a slot is taken, the second customer's slot dropdown will update to reflect that the slot is now full — they'll need to pick an alternative.

Past Slots Are Hidden Too

For today's date, the plugin automatically filters out timeslots that have already passed. If it's currently 13:30 and your slot duration is 2 hours, the 08:00–10:00, 10:00–12:00, and 12:00–14:00 slots will all be hidden — even if they have remaining capacity.

No Capacity Limit

If you leave Max Orders Per Slot blank or set it to 0, there is no cap — the slot always appears regardless of how many orders are already booked for it. This is useful if your only goal is to show customers a delivery window without managing capacity.

Checking Slot Usage in Admin

There isn't a dedicated capacity dashboard, but you can check how many orders are assigned to a particular date and timeslot by filtering orders in WooCommerce > Orders — the delivery date and timeslot are stored as order meta and shown in the order details.

Setting Up Delivery Timeslots

Enable timeslots at checkout, set your delivery window, slot duration, and max orders per slot.

Troubleshooting: Timeslots Not Showing at Checkout

Fix common reasons why the timeslot dropdown doesn't appear after a customer selects a delivery date.
