Your First Configuration

After installing and activating the plugin, go to WooCommerce > Delivery Date in your WordPress admin. This is the main settings page.

Step 1: Set Your Minimum Lead Time

The Minimum Delivery Days setting controls how far ahead customers must book. For example, setting this to 2 means the earliest selectable date is always two days from today.

• If you need same-day or next-day delivery, set this to 0 or 1.
• If you're a bakery or florist that needs preparation time, set this to 2 or more.

Free vs. Premium: The free version counts all calendar days. If you need to count only working days (Mon–Fri), that requires the Premium version.

Step 2: Select Product Categories

The date picker only appears at checkout when a product from one of your selected categories is in the cart. This lets you limit delivery scheduling to specific products — useful if you sell a mix of shippable and non-shippable items.

1. Find the Product Categories field on the settings page.
2. Select one or more categories that should trigger the date picker.
3. If you want the picker to appear for every order, select all categories (or create a catch-all category and assign your products to it).

Step 3: Save Settings

Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page. Then open your store's checkout page — the delivery date picker should now appear when a product from one of your selected categories is in the cart.

If the date picker doesn't appear, double-check that the product in your test cart actually belongs to one of the selected categories.
